Beta terms

Last updated 30 August 2026

These policies are being finalised ahead of full launch. Questions? Email info@threadquarters.net.

ThreadQuarters is unfinished. These terms cover the testing programme and sit on top of the main terms. Where the two differ, these apply.

Please read this properly. It's short, and it's all the stuff that would annoy you if you found it out later.

What you're agreeing to

It will break

You're using software that hasn't been tested at scale. Expect bugs, slow pages, wrong output and features that behave oddly. Reporting those is the point of the programme.

Your data could be lost

I take backups and I'll do my best, but during testing there is a real chance of data loss through a bug or a bad deployment. Do not use ThreadQuarters as the only record of your stock or sales. Keep your own copy. You can export at any time.

Features will change or disappear

Things you come to rely on may be redesigned or removed based on what testing shows. I'll tell you when something significant changes.

Nothing is guaranteed to be available

There's no uptime commitment and no support response time during the beta. In practice I'll usually reply within a couple of days.

AI output needs checking

Listing drafts and any price suggestions are generated automatically and can be wrong. Read them before you publish. You're responsible for what goes on your own listings.

What it costs

Nothing. The service is free for the whole testing period. If paid plans launch, testers who took part get a founding-tester discount on paid plans, confirmed with you before launch. You'll never be charged without agreeing to it first.

What I'm asking of you

None of this is legally enforced. If you go quiet, that's fine — I'd just rather know why.

Feedback

Anything you tell me about the product — bug reports, suggestions, criticism — I can use to improve ThreadQuarters without payment, attribution or obligation to you. You keep the right to say the same things to anyone else.

I won't quote you publicly or use your shop name in marketing without asking you first.

Your data during and after the beta

Confidentiality

You're welcome to talk about ThreadQuarters publicly, post about it and show it to people. If I share something specifically marked as confidential — unreleased plans, for instance — please keep that to yourself.

Ending it

You can leave the programme whenever you like, with no reason needed. I can end it or remove a participant at any time, and will give notice and a data export window unless there's been a serious breach of the terms.

Liability during testing

Because the service is provided free and unfinished, it comes with no warranties of any kind beyond those that can't be excluded by law. The liability limits in the main terms apply, and my total liability during the beta is limited to £100.
