Terms of service

Last updated 30 August 2026

These policies are being finalised ahead of full launch. Questions? Email info@threadquarters.net.

These terms are the agreement between you and ThreadQuarters. By creating an account you accept them. If you're taking part in the testing programme, the beta terms also apply and take precedence where they differ.

Who you're contracting with

ThreadQuarters is a trading name of Alex Clark, a sole trader in the United Kingdom, contactable at info@threadquarters.net. A UK limited company is being incorporated and will become the contracting party on registration; these terms will be updated with its name and registration number, and account holders notified, at that point.

What the service does

ThreadQuarters helps you manage second-hand stock, draft listing copy, and track sales. It is a tool you use — it is not a marketplace, an agent, or a selling service.

Specifically, ThreadQuarters does not post, edit or delete anything on Vinted, Depop, eBay or any other marketplace on your behalf. You publish your own listings from your own account.

Your account

Your responsibilities as a seller

You remain fully responsible for your own listings, your own marketplace accounts, and your compliance with each marketplace's rules, with consumer law, and with tax law.

Listing drafts and price suggestions are suggestions. Review them before publishing. Descriptions must accurately reflect the item you're actually selling, including its flaws.

Acceptable use

Don't use ThreadQuarters to: list counterfeit, stolen or prohibited goods; write descriptions you know to be misleading; break a marketplace's terms; upload content you don't have the rights to; attempt to access other users' data; or interfere with the service's operation.

I may suspend or close an account that breaches this, and will explain why where I can.

Your content

Your photographs, listings and records remain yours. You give me permission to store, process and display them for the purpose of providing the service to you — nothing else. That permission ends when you delete the content or close your account.

You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload.

My content

The software, design, brand and documentation are mine. Using the service doesn't transfer any of it to you. Listing text generated for your items is yours to use freely.

Fees

The service is free during the testing programme. When paid plans launch, their price, billing period, renewal, cancellation and refund terms will be published here before any charges apply. Where a customer is a consumer rather than a business, the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations will be set out at checkout.

Availability

I'll make reasonable efforts to keep the service running but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, faults and third-party outages happen. No service level is promised.

Third-party services

ThreadQuarters relies on third parties including AWS and OpenAI, and interacts with data from marketplaces you sell on. I'm not responsible for their acts, outages or decisions — including any action a marketplace takes against your account.

ThreadQuarters is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Vinted, Depop or eBay.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.

Subject to that, I'm not liable for lost profits, lost sales, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss. My total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the fees you paid in that period or £100.

You use the service in connection with your own business, so the consumer protections that would apply to a private individual may not apply to you.

Ending it

You can close your account at any time from your settings. I can end this agreement on 30 days' notice, or immediately if you seriously breach these terms. On termination you can export your data for 30 days, after which it's deleted.

Changes

I may update these terms. For material changes I'll give account holders 30 days' notice by email. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
